Basically what he is saying is that if you have ten million dollars you can give someone $500, but if you only make $12,000 a year then maybe you can't give $500. The amount you can afford to give is comparable to what you earn. With that in mind think about the environment, can I replace my soap with environmentally friendly soap...of course I can, what about fabric softener, or toothpaste or shampoo or whatever.  The thing is if you love your shampoo then fine keep it but at least try the earth friendly stuff once, it's the least you can do. If you don't try it how do you know.

The internet is a beautiful invention. Typically you need to offer a service or have a product people want in order to be profitable.
