The truth is that most two car families only need the second car half the time. That's one reason why there is a growing popularity for car-sharing services. Forbes.com recently outlined some pros and cons of these services. In my household my wife and I share her newer vehicle, which is still under warranty, we're lucky though because we're able to work from home. Sharing one vehicle has it's ups & downs, it has enabled me to buy the truck I always wanted and I don't have to use it daily...these Land Rovers aren't the most comfortable things :-)
